Got some beater 1st gen square wires ca paint them matte black?

I got these 1st gen square beaters and was either going to polish them or paint them matte black if I paint them will krylon work?

You may want to have someone powder coat them. I think the Krylon might seep into your skin when mixed with sweat, and who knows what sort of problems that may cause down the line.
