Half X arm broke and finding this forum

I think before joining here I would have happily scrapped the badman to sort out he Half-X; now I'm thinking of trying to sort them all out. Been into Oakley sunglasses approx 15 years; but I've thrown away quite a few pairs usually becuase of damage. Thank god all forgettable plastic / metal versions such as flak/half flak/wire and others. Glad I held onto the X metal's. Nice to see them fully restored.

I just found this forum because of a broken hinge on my Half X's. Broken spot weld? Probably try to get a jeweler to attempt a fix. Any idea what material the hinge is so we can get the right filler metal?

Half-X Hinge Repair

Here the steps I took to repair a Hinge in my Half-X. I have looked at 2 Tutorials and in both it is required to manufacturing new parts . This did not appeal to me. Sitting in front of a vice for hours is not my thing. First of all. Buy or use only high quality Tools. Spend your Money on...
