Who came up with the arm hinge system for this thing,my god.ive repaired it just to see if i could,but do these engineers understand the concept of "KISS" (keep it simple stupid).the R2 is so much a better design.

and you dont need to remove the hinge screws to install the lenses,they pop in and out just like the o matter stuff.keep the hinges oiled and be careful with them.

good tip - I have found the easiest way to install lenses is to have the hinge screw in place, just loose enough that it has some play, but not so much that you lose the gasket orientation.

All I can do currently is look at it and remind of the pain and not being able to wear it so that's better than nothing. I'm gonna try and sell a pair or 2 and then I will get in contact with you in regards to my half X and juliet work, maybe a couple of weeks away.

I think with the proper washers you can eliminate that whole spring system,and get most of these half Xs back into service
