Help! Not sure what machine to buy

I'm thinking of picking up the cricut maker—but I can't seem to find a straightforward yes/no response as to whether metal dies can also be treated (such as these cricut cuttlebug embossing machine)

I have many hobbies, such as quilting, scrapbooking, and cardmaking, and I'm not sure if the manufacturer is actually worth the extra cash or if I'm more suited to picking up the air when it's on sale. Would love to hear from some owners of Cricut Manufacturers!

I’m assuming you are referring to the Cricut Maker....not manufacturer. Depending on your needs/wants/allowance both work well but the maker allows you to work on more materials. If you’ll use it and can afford it get the maker. Otherwise just get the Explore Air 2.
And keep in mind all the dies are sold separately....of course.
