Holbrook Lens cut and fitted to Juliet - Possible?

Hi,

I'm new here/Noob - i have a quick question bout donor lenses, you can just reply Yes it is possible or No its not (a quick explanation would be helpful though)

Few months back i ordered a Holbrook Lens and had someone i didn't know personally cut it to be shaped and fitted to a Juliet frame. I shipped it and days after it went back already cut then i personally fitted it and it was perfect no further questions.

Now there are comments in my post from a social media that it is NOT possible to have the Holbrook lens as a donor due to its curve or what so ever.

Again I personally installed the the cut lens to my Juliet frame and it was perfect ( aside from the obvious uneven edges from cutting ).

So yes, the question is, is it possible to have the holbrook lens as a donor for my Juliet? or was i scammed and replaced my original lens to other brands.

The base curve of a Holbrook lens is 6, whereas a Juliet's is 8.75. They will fit but there will be some distortion at the extremities because of the mismatch.

Thanks for the reply, As you can see from the photos attached - it is well fitted. Do you think the Holbrook lens that i sent was replaced by other brands?

There was no problem installing the lens, it fits right thought the space of the frame.

have you try to open and refitted the lenses? does it need little press on the lens?

Yes it does, iv been changing lens from time to time and i cant see any difference from the rest of the lenses that i have, lenses that are from oakley juliet oems

if using oem juliet lens, since it has curve 8.75 the angle fit with the frame. some of my friend also using holbrook lens for their juliet since they looking for nice color and no other alternative choose lens in my country. but it really nice lens color you have
