I just bought Holbrook XL grey smoke frame with prism polarized lenses. However I noticed that there are tiny scratches on both side of the frame at the bolts area. Is this something coming from a defect manufacturing or mold? Quite puzzled to see this given their price.

Sorry to say, but we come across that all the time on the polished Holbrook frames. Definitely something with the manufacturing process rather than being defective.

Went to a store to check if other oakleys have that specific scratches and guess what: they do have scratches on both sides at the same spot close to the two bolts. Crazy hey.

Yup that's why only matte frames for me, the swirls on polished drive me nuts!

I have Jupiter Squared in matte black, after 4 years branches started to loose paint. Front frame still good though. So matte or polished, obviously problem is quality.
