same here in the Houston area - it's predominantly a "type of people" that do ugly crap like this, if you know what I mean....

What I wonder is if they're actually metal or just some cheap chromed plastic that would shatter to bits if they actually came in contact with anything. Maybe I should chuck a spear or something at one sometime and see what happens...

I'm willing to bet that they are metal. It still blows me away that those rims are legal. They could do some serious damage.

During my lunchtime crack-n-ho run today, I captured this one in the wild:

It's hard to see in the pic but there are actually little spikes sticking out from the end of the hub; they looked like they spun independently...

Looks like someone is living in the past were charriots are still being used.. Lol
