Icon 3.0 quality?

I had a first gen Icon back in the day and it was the best quality pack I ever had. I've been looking at getting another but it seems like they've made slight changes on some features over time (the top handle used to be rubber for instance). Is the gen one quality still there, or am I better off getting an older version if I can?

I would say the newer ones are a little better then the 1st gen due to having added space for a laptop, the quality is still there

Thanks, think I'll pick up one in black again, although if I found a good deal on one in blue I wouldn't turn it down.
