Just about any lens can be found here. There is no warranty on lens delam, even if there was Luxottica customer service sucks. So in conclusion, you're best off buying from one of the lens hoarders on here. Or possibly ebay inflated prices.

how much do people usually sell lens for? ie 40 of 60% off retail? Is there any "reputation" I can examine, protection from getting ripped off?

Depending on how rare or vintage you're looking for prices will be up. Standard lenses can be found for less than retail.
