No it’s because those were made with the old o matter and are extremely brittle. I know someone who heard an orbital snap and split apart while it was sitting in the display case. I wouldn’t advise wearing unless you’re extremely careful and even then I would recommend against it.

But ultimately it’s yours so you’re free to do what you want of course

Oh fairdinkum? I had no idea that was a thing!

So that generation of Oakley material is likely to be unwearable now for any extended period of time in most cases?

I had one orbital snap on a pair while laying stores in a bag but I have also had one I have worn a decent amount with no problem.
So it is hit or miss.
Great looking frame though.

Yep agreed, ripping style. Can we tag Oakley into these posts and demand a retro run of limited edition trenchies?!
