iOS - I just want to copy the URL text

All right fellow iPhone users, I've done some Google searches unsuccessfully. Your help needed.

There are many scenarios where I only want to copy a text URL.

For example if I want to paste a marketplace URL into the feedback section of the site, I instead get the friendly name of the link but not the actual URL.

The iPhone copies the friendly name of the website followed by the URL. Lots of apps and websites can't handle that correctly.

How do the rest of you get around this?

One method I've found is to literally text (sms) myself what is copied into the clipboard which will correctly parses the URL and allow me to extract it and re-copy it and reuse it.

This is ridiculous there must be an easier way.

I always just tap in the safari address bar and choose copy. This is how it paste into notepad:

That’s all I do. Tap the Safari address bar and hit copy.

Tap and hold on the linked image, then select copy. It should only copy the URL
