Is It A R1 Jordan?

I got an offer on R1 xmetal with serial 7xxx. A 4 digits serial.. Is it a jordan? Some people says a true jordan only up to serial 5000.. Is it true? Just want to make sure before making a leap to buy the R1.. Thanks

4 digits are 'jordans'. its not a 6 digit with the first 2 numbers being "00XXXX".. its only "XXXX"

the whole point to the "rarity" is the 4 digit serial anyway.

unless the serials are forgeries? etched on a blank frame?
