Sorry for asking if it is something stupid, but, whats does the sideblinder improve on the penny with out the springs??

I have an extra side blinder not in use and am considering lol

Guess i have to justify it then. By using the sideblinder, you actually attaching them temporary to the frame by using a double sided tape or a wax. By doing so, the arms will no longer fold. Same reason it was never popular because of this flaw and they are not user friendly.

Just wondered if they dont fall off the face with the sideblinder... I have a couple pennys but never had one with out the spring...
