Are X Metals.dishwasher safe, if I don't heat dry them? I was joking about this with my wife. Then, I seriously considered it. Lol.

Defeats the purpose of trying to make things easy. Every other week, I soak and gently clean with Dawn dishsoap. But, I leave the lenses and rubber on. They come out beautiful after they air dry.

Then I would say no to the dishwasher.

Just to be safe, you're probably right, @Rustpot. But, something is tempting me to try. It won't be long before you see a thread titled, "I should have listened".

I think you might ruin the finish if anything. Dishwashers have high heat and not sure how the finish would stand up. Maybe a polished pair, but I'm not going to be the one that tries it. Lol.

Huh.........some of that dishwashing detergent has a compound in it that etches metal,you may spot that Ti,id use a toothbrush and dishsoap.
