So does anyone know if the frame is solid gold? Gold plated? The description doesn't really say. I could care less about Lance; I would take these in my gold collection any day.

From what it sounds like it's solid gold? Probably not but who knows.

An M Frame technically wouldn't work in metal, it needs frame flex to tension the lens. Hence why the Mag lens bolts in. Not that this couldn't be tweaked and made to work... But I'd think its either plated or nonfunctional.
