Lighting On Tall Counntertop Model

I bought a tall countertop model from Craigslist. It was in bad shape. I am now restoring it. Have y'all ever put lighting in this model and how did you do it?

If you have any ideas how to do it let me know.

Also there was a holder in the underside of the top does any one know what this is for?

I don't have the countertop display....but I used LED light strips that I got from IKEA. I am not familiar with a holder on the underside of the top. Can you post a pic?

I have a lead on one of these as well..and will be adding some kind of lighting...does anyone have a picture of the inside with lights mounted? Is the top the same as a 6' single-wide display?

Ok I am almost finished with my counter top model. I would really like to get some lights in it any ideas how to light this model? Please
help I am probably going to put lights in it by the weekend.
