Like Qtrain said, lots of inquiries can make a CL seller raise his asking price. My position with members that grumble about posting active listings is that they are crazy to think that they we're the only ones watching a listing and that a post "outed" the item.
If there are probably 100 OF users that troll secondary markets constantly and at least 100 more that are not OF members that are constantly looking for Oaks. Non-forum members are constantly looking for Oaks. When a pair are posted publicly anywhere hundreds of people are already on it. So what's the difference?

I for one appreciate seeing the CL ads. If someone wants them they should jump on them fast. I remember someone told me when I first came here be quick and have money ready.

That is the best advice you can give to any collector in any hobby. I have completed two transactions through craigslist that were great deals but only because I offer cash and pick up immediately or as soon as possible. If the seller does not agree or ask me to wait a few days No Deal! I move on and don't think twice about it. Two many times I have I been caught up in bidding wars and and seller jacking up pricing on me.
