Linegear R1 Nose Bridge Rubber Last?

So I purchased a set of Linegear rubber for my R1s. The 4 nose bridge pieces. It's been about 6 months and they've already started to break. I didn't tighten my R1s too much so they was a little bit of play to prevent the lenses from damage but maybe I ended up damaging the rubber.

How long does the Linegear R1 nose bridge rubber last?

Yes the 4 Linegear replacement gaskets for the R1 nose bridge.

Sorry, I don't have experience with LG gaskets for R1, only Juliets. What I can say is they're made out of silicone so if a little play kept rubbing them, your hypothesis is plausible - silicone should last a long time but its shape can distort / wear out if it's stretched a lot - think about those silicone cellphone cases that start to fit loose if you play with them too much...

I'm buying 2 more sets and maybe I'll tighten them down a bit more this time...
