M frame 2.0 Ballistic upgrade?

Hello everyone 1st post here.
Would anyone know if the top clip on the frame that secures the lens was changed from a solid piece to a 2 prong design? Just like on the 3.0 model. It actually works better in securing the lens.
Pic shows the recent one that I received with an APEL marked on the left side with a 2019 date on the frame. I am unable to post an additional pic in order to compare.
