Original clips are heat treated.so sometimes they will crack when spreading them for dissassembly

I’ve got loads of 30pence circlips sprung steel. 100 times better than ****e OEM ones.

Guys - circlips, c clips etc etc.

We have American English & English English.

Example - forged titanium aka X metal is not forged at all - it’s cast.

Etching is actually called engraving - etching uses acid.

Mars has no rubber o ring

I know this, but as someone suggested using one instead of c clips.

Don't use snap rings.

I have my mars and the C rings but have NO idea how to put them back so I use this ( I dont know the name in English) but is a tinny pice of moldeable wire I just twisted untin make the Frame keep the lens and cut , the point part to the side , Is waht I do

Very interesting thread. As someone who only has one frame, and several different lens options, the C-rings can be a pain, but I have found that using a small screwdriver between the frame post, as mentioned by @Oakley OCD and @Alternative works very well, (the smaller the better as shown in Alternative's example), but in the spirit of experimentation, I ordered some small rubber o-rings earlier this past week. When they arrive, I'll try them out, and let you all know if they are worth exploring or not
