The good thing about the copper wire seriously is its malleable. You can cut a short piece wrapped around a small number 1 screwdriver to make a coil then cut it with cutting pliers and just open it a bit.

Yea I just use 1/16" aluminum wire. Much easier to get off when you need to change lenses too

Same wire you would use on a throttle-side grip
