Minute Machine metal strap clasp pin

Hi all, the pin on the strap of my MM rotates and moves side to side by about 1 - 1 1/2 mm each way. Is this normal or has it worn? I don't wear it daily and have owned it for 9 years. I don't want the pin to break and the watch to fall off! If it's worn I'm thinking of taking to a watch maker for repair? Thoughts?
