ok this sound insane, im currently on vacation in the country where not many ppl fancy Oakley in Asia.
Walked into the mall, and saw a huge Oakley dealer store. They have a really full range of all Oakley glasses except for the pitboss.
Saw the about to be: New releases GarageRock, BigTaco etc but all tucked in the corner as SAMPLE pieces on discount as they r sample. Check the pics @the other thread i started.
Anyway; i was checking all the juliet/Xsq metals out & they were all overpriced as the norm with Oakley prices in Asia.
For the love of GOD~!!; i saw a COPPER PENNY and POLISHED PENNY in one of the display case stucked in the dark corner~! with some Romeo 2. Hatchet. E-wire
I immediately picked up the Copper penny; and storekeeper said everything in this small case are on discount becuz they are really old. "in my heart; LOL!!!" trying not to embarrass myself. I proceed to pay for the Cooper Penny & Polished penny @the counter. Never actually thought they have more. I asked if those are the last pairs. Guy went to the store to check and came back with 2 more Coppy Penny~!
Then I also asked to check if they have more at their participating national wide branches. He proceed to check their database and found 2 more at another branch. Immediately paid for all of em. & He'll have them dhl to the store tomorrow which im gonna pick up the last 2~
Stayed at the store for a good few hours; just talking bout Oakley & anything bout the sun n moon. Trying to get them to check in their system if they have older stuffs like Romeo1,SubZeros,OTT,Medusa etc. No luck for those. Paid & proceed to ground floor to arrange for GST Tax refund. Went back to the store to pass them the receipt. & same Guy told me softly; "hey we do have 1 OTT inside the store" Im like OK PACK IT NOW! HAH! He had to call his boss/supervisor to confirm if those were sell-able as they are really OLD which they never plan to display it on the shelf anymore; becuz they need to make space for all the new releases.
So long story short. I paid for 5 Copper Penny; 1 Polished Penny; 1 OTT & Frogskin LX Ti. My biggest haul for the year~ I think my credit card is MAXXED out for this trip. HA~!
All copper penny are serialized pair. However only 1 out of the 3 boxes has the serial num printed on the box.
