how is the the width on these frames compared to the Turbine or Antix?

I would say comparable (although I'm not expert, so I don't know temple measurements and the like); I have a larger head and this style is a favorite of mine, along with Antix, and to a lesser extent, Turbine (of which I have a Moto GP pair for sale).
