couldn't get any oem lenses for my 1st gen eye jackets so i thought i'd cut my own.

i've a pair of new romeo 1 lenses sat in my cabinet so i thought i'd use them as a donor - they only needed a couple of mm trimmed and i even managed to save the x-metal etching.

I am sure there is an alternative lens choice that would be better and more cost effective than using that R1 lens.

Look like a neat cut/trim job. However, I would have thought you could have bought a mint pair of Eye Jackets, and used the lenses from those, for the cost of a pair of mint Romeo 1 lenses.

But then again, I'm an X-Metal fan, and would not have considered chopping a mint X-Metal lens.

Looks good. My mistake on the post ealier. I misread your post.

Great job . Clean. I feel sorry for the R1 lenses though :( looks mint.

the lenses were brand new but i thought if i put them in my romeos they'd only end up with stress cracks.....? i'll keep my revant lenses in them.
