With the addition of my first ever R1, I wanted to share my small collection properly display. For a long time they all lived in soft vaults, hidden from the world. Very thankful for this forum and the vast knowledge available here. I'm still working on the setup and learning that even with a small collection, these countertop cases are smaller than they look!

The spoon is a family heirloom. My grandfather was stationed in England ww2. They were issued a spoon for mess. He lost his one day, asked for another and was denied. Being an aircraft mechanic, he went to the shop, grab a chunk of aluminum from a part of an RAF Spitfire, and hand forged his own spoon. Used it his whole life. It is engraved, Hesemann, 1943, Spitfire.
