Building custom Flaks and torn between Polished White Frame/+Red/Gunmetal icons/Slate earsocks or Silver frame/+Red/Black icons/Black earsocks. What are your thoughts or other ideas?

White and red are classics! I personally don't like silver all that much.

Oakley Silver I have seems to wear off in high traffic areas (inside tips of ear stems).

First, Welcome to the Forum!

That is a tough question to answer. For me, if I went with White/+Red, I'd probably go with Red icons/rubbers, but that is me. Lots of colors tend to turn me off (TWSS....beating @OakleyFrankFMJ to the punch ).

Out of the 2 I'd probably go with the silver frame options. I only have 1 white pair and I'm still on the fence if I like them opposed to all my other frames which are all darker colors which I really like.

I would change the black icons and socks to electric blue. If I were paying for a custom pair, I would choose colors besides black:

Agreed! I bought my wife a pair of steel She's Unstoppable frames with prizm daily polarized lenses for Christmas and she loves them. I am a big fan of the color of the frames.

@Buckguy , you could get the steel Flak Jackets with prizm road lenses for less than the custom Flaks, although they are backordered:
