Noob Question - First Gen XX Tio2 w Deformed right Orbital Frame - OEM lens too big!

Giancarlo Nolan

Oakley Beginner
Good Day Experts,

Im a noob with metals, I have an OLD XX TIO2 and recently changed my lens - XX black irid purchased in oakley.com

The problem is that, the right lens doesnt fit well (left fits perfectly) - since i thought that this was from oakley itself, it should fit perfectly, but nope - this one has a 2-4 paper thin gap ( cant push any further ).

in short - OEM lens is too big for the frame

is this common to first generation XX's? my serial is XT011742

thanks for the assist experts :)

* i am new to this forum so pardon me if this question is on the wrong thread or topic - Thanks mate.

This is not an uncommon problem. Many of the xx Blk iridium and 24k lenses do it. They are loose in the orbital.

loose lens in the juliets, too big of lenses for the xx.

yep pretty common. you need to sand down perimeter of the lens (as if you just got done cutting them) check the lens cutting discussions here on the forum.
