I am not sure where the pricing being quoted is coming from. As far as we know it is a marketing piece and not being offered for sale to the public.

I was informed by a reliable source exactly what @OakleyEU has said. They are a limited release. They are priced at $500.00 (Same as Ferrari), and basically are just a brushed aluminum/ o-matter colorway. Got this info yesterday.

The really annoying thing is $1000 is overpriced, when it gets to the UK it'll probably be £1000, can't see it personally but look forward to seeing them in person!

This is what I was told about the special edition that will be $1G. He also said it is a later release than the standard one.
