Oakley Magnesium M Frame Question

The lens still has the Oakley trademark on them. I guess I’m hoping that they just didn’t etch the replacement lenses that were purchased individually. However buying them today I wouldn’t know if they were original or not.

I saw there was a user that had a nice collection of mag m frames on these forums. Maybe I will send him a message. I wonder if all of his are etched. Thanks to everyone for the responses.

Replacement lenses are made by several manufacturers and they aren't going to go through the steps of et hinge or engraving the lenses if they don't have too. You can probably send Oakley an email for further info. If all the lenses that are for sure made by Oakley have this on the lenses, than it would be a safe bet that yours are aftermarket lenses. This isn't always a bad thing, some aftermarket are junk and some make quality lenses. This doesn't mean the frames aren't genuine Oakley. Hope this helps.

Wait. There's aftermarket lenses for the Mag M?

I'm currently working with Revant Optics for replacement Mag M Frame and the Mumbo/1st Gen M Frame lens!!!! I'll be posting a review and pricing when I receive mine.

Any insight to what offerings they will have?

I would just hope they don’t put out a direct copy of the OEM stuff (exact same shapes and lens tints). That way they would have a clear aftermarket product and not a "fake". But otherwise, that would be great for those looking for aftermarket options as OEM replacements are pricey and hard to get.
