Oakleys Made In USA

Looking at the lists of glasses named up there that were re named or reworked after a short time period, I wonder if now that Oakley are largely a fashion glasses company they are making products that have a much more limited lifespan and are ok with it in most cases. There aren't that many frames that stay around for years, rayban obviously have a couple most notably in the wayarer and aviators but with most new items there must be a new release sales spike then equally there must be some kind of drop off.Maybe they think after a year or two they've sold most of what they will sell so ditch them?
There seems to be little in the way of true mad scientist innovation at the moment (that I have seen anyway you may know more) but that's probably expensive!
Microsoft seem to think the best way to test something is to release it for sale and let the customers find the faults maybe that's becoming more common
