Strangely enough I received an email confirmation that the item that I think I didn't get, is being shipped. Soooooooo, I made a call to them to verify and it appears that I did get what I wanted. Tracking is up and running and the item shipped today. I'll post it when it arrives.

Thoughts on the SI Duffel 70? Is it big enough for weekend getaways and/or a lightly packed 4-5 day trip? Good things about it? Bad? Is it nice enough to use as primary travel bag (not airplane, just cars and hotels)?

The 70 is a good size, might be big enough for a whole week.

I've been using some slightly smaller bags for long weekends. 3 changes of clothes, extra pants, sweatshirt, toiletry bag, etc.

I have this one as well, which is a 50L bag. It's good for a 3-5 day trip. Bit tight, not much other than clothes. For a 2-day with extra stuff it would work well. It replaced an old hockey coach's bag that was about the same size, maybe slightly bigger.

I got the 70 as it was CHEAP. Never have too many bags. The 30/50/70 SI bags I believe are just open compartment bags. Simple, best used with 1-2 smaller organizer bags inside like the Body Bag or a small football-sized bag for small items.

I debated quite a bit between the 50 and the 70, and one point considered both; well more than once...

But I finally settled on the 70 - it's not too big, can also be used in situations where you don't really need that much capacity without the extra bulk being a problem. While the 50 was small enough that its versatility was more limited.

Scheduled delivery is Thursday...

Bought both the 50 and 70L.. 50 is doable as a carry on. Lots of other things as well (Goggles for my daughter etc.)
