Odd Carbon Juliet

Ok, another weird thing. Discostu said earlier that the SKU checks out for carbon/BI.

And it does... kind of. Early carbon/BIs are indeed 04-128 but by the time we get to the fifth gen, the SKU is actually 04-148.

The rest looks legit but that stem isn't giving up its secrets easily, is it?

So what do we have? A transitional model between 4th and 5th gens, dabbling with adding SKU, size and name, but before the SKU change and before the split box was adopted (which was already coming in at the tail end of the 4th gen)?

I like that theory - custom marked 4th gens. Worth $27K...

frames are legit. box means its the 2008-2010ish model, no markings. i'd place my $ on custom laser etching. the font looks odd - i.e. not what oakley usually uses on Xmetals.

This is definitely a custom etching into the earstem. Frames are legit. For fun, I've asked a person not to long ago at the "Things to remember" store in the mall if they be able to etch into frames like these (juliets) and they said definitely. Just some info.
