Thanks everyone for the quick replies. I was honestly believing they could be real despite the low price. They just look so good to me even after spending an hour comparing them to photos of the real ones.
There are some simple checks you could do:

1: Check the screws used in the frame are Torx-head ones. Which are sunken into the frame.

2: Check the nose-bombs for well defined and formed O-matter.

3: Make sure the parts are crisp and well defined: no rounded corners on the hinges.

Hey all,

Saw a good deal and bought a second pair of Planet X RE:subzeroes (Amazon) because they seem to be becoming scarce. The color seems different, though. My original sapphires are that bluish purple color, but these new ones almost seem emerald/greenish blue. The PRIZM etching doesn't look as crisp, but everything else is perfect: stems, size, lettering, packaging, etc.

Here's the deal; I love the greenish color.

I want to believe.

Does anyone know if there was variation in the color of these?

If they're fake, they're going back.

Anyone have any insight? Will post more pics if required.

Note: I switched the nosepiece on my original pair, so that's why that one is different.

Thanks!

Not a zero collector unless its a limited ed BUT to me there are some differences there that set off red flags. The part that is connecting the arm to the glasses looks slightly different but those lenses are nothing I have seen offered by Oakley. The prizm etch is a very suspicious thing as well...

Prizm etch is a big one for me, but their QC has definitely been sketch over the past few years.

What part of the arm looks different?
