Old School Mint Frame Beater lenses

This week i found a Carbon Fiber 1999 New Straight Jacket and the condition of them make me want to post this
The frame is as mint as they can be for a 20 year old plus pair
The Carbon Fiber has no chips in them, the bridge Text is intact, the rubbers are not sticky nor breakin, and the arms are still snappy
The lenses are a whole other history, they are as beat up as they can be
Have this happened to anyone here before, to me it has but in newer frames, never on a pair this old

The lenses have the Polarized etching in them, that makes think they are the Carbon Fiber frame whit Grey Polarized lenses according to the OR database
My post or question are more along the lines of how come the frame are in such a good shape and the lenses are so beat up.

Terrible lens cleaning method maybe. Like wiping it with a dirty t-shirt.
