Pawn Stars - Juliets

Yea I only saw 2 people in my life wear xmetals in public at the canadian grand prix the guy in front of me was wearing a 24k Juliet, and The bus driver for the Uni. of Maryland soccer team wears carbon juliets. Other than those 2 people, I have never seen anyone in public wear them!!!

Unless I count catching my reflection I've barely seen them worn in public, too. There's a thread on this forum called something like "x-metals in the wild" where people are posting past and present sightings.

The best information I got from watching Pawn Stars was, if you want to sell something, don't go to a pawn shop...

Also that if you buy a boat, you''ll find out that "boat" frequently means "Break Out Another Thousand"...

Most people go to the pawn shop as a matter of necessity not desire. It's fast money in a pinch. I've been thinking of offering Oakley Pawn instead of having to sell your glasses you can take out a small loan with a small service fee then buy you glasses back. Seem logical! lol.

Yeah, I think a lot of people don't realize buying and selling stuff isn't a pawn shop's main business. Their main business is loaning money. That's why a lot of them these days have gotten into payday advance loans in addition to the traditional collateral-based stuff.

Kinda like the people who think goodwill is only for poor people to shop at (no, anybody can shop there, the profit from what's sold goes to help the poor)...

I did a store survey once of a pawn shop chain on their cash handling procedures. Turns out most robbers overlook the cash and go straight for the jewelry. They'd get more if they went for the cash...

Me likey Asian porn stars - you'd think marrying one would cure me of that (one way or another), but no...

(To be clear, the "one" I married was an Asian, not a porn star - I once dated a stripper for a while; long interesting story but it didn't cost me any more $$$ than average women do normally)

Chicken or the egg... do I likey Asian porn stars because I married an Asian or did I marry an Asian because porn made me catch the Yellow Fever? I'll ponder that one to my grave...
