Penny Lenses

The orbitals are smaller and it has a more tapered look which add to the agrressive/unique Oakley look.

I think it may come down to this for me. I'm not sure a tapered look would be good for my Asian face. I tend to go for square lense shapes.

Decided against my better judgement and picked them up. Needs a cleaning, new lenses and perhaps stem rubber but overall it's pretty solid. A little small on my face but not nearly as bad as I feared.

Do they? Does Oakley.com still carry those?

I doubt it, but should be able to pick them up cheaply from vaults or eBay.

Hmmm. I'll have to look into that. Didn't know that the old Minute lenses were the same as the Penny.

Re cleaning, the Penny has one of the easier earstems to pull off to clean out of the x-metals.. alot of crud builds up in the spring mechanism. The washers are metal, so no fussing around trying to squeeze in plastic washers too. To reattach arm, Usually just requires a second pair of hands to screw the hinge back while someone compresses the spring.
