Pitted Juliet Frame, Fixable??

Hi all

Got my eye on some Juliets. Good price so far and good condition except for a pitted frame.

Can this be fixed or should I steer clear??

Any help will be much appreciated..

depending on the price have them made into an x-metal pair, s.w.a.t black or even a Tio2,they are 1st gen plasma

It's not pitting, it's "character".

Buy them cheap and rock 'em like you stole 'em.

what causes the frame to pit like that? sweat? oils? chemicals?

It looks like grime or like it oxidized or something. The pitting is normal for 1st gen pairs. Casting imperfections/variations.

I see it a lot of discoloration under the nose bridge rubbers on the 1st gen frames ,that tells me that the salts in sweat are causing a intergranular corrosion to the plasma finish.

They've sold now for £105... Not to me.

I would rather spend more on a better pair!
