Please share your experience with multifocal contact lenses

I am thinking about trying multifocal contacts so I can wear all my Oakleys longer than taking pics for WOAYWT.
Before discussing this with my eye doctor I would like to learn more about it, so I can ask the right questions.
I am going to be 58 in September and my Add is 2,50.

First I need to get my right eye fixed.
I need a new Cornea due to an accident.

how intrusive is the procedure and whats the possible problems after ? eyes are one of things that if it goes south things can get substantially worse fast.

Cornea replacement is a fairly common procedure and heals very well.
Side effects and rejection rate are very low because the Cornea has no blood-vessels.

What about vision loss concerns ?

No concern, unless the doctor has a stoke and stabs you in the eye.
Jokes aside. My bad eye can only get better. Right now it's like looking through a scratched or broken glass window because my cornea is so scarred.

I will.
Getting an appointment with the right Dr. is not easy. My appointment to get a thorough eye exam is mid Nov.
After that I will know more.

I do wear them from time to time, when I play tennis, do watersports or wear sunglasses other then my x metal xx with prescription lens. It won't work if you have astigmatism, not as good as multifocal glasses especially in low light conditions.
