Please update / educate me on Flak Jackets

I followed these forums pretty closely a few years back, but since then there have been many new models and changes. I'm out of the loop and looking for help.
I have several pairs of flak jackets. Not Flak 2.0, but original Flak Jackets (with both regular and the XLJ lenses). All of these were bought at the Oakley factory employee store. They used to have an optician in there and I had a few pair that received Rx lenses. Not glass, but the lexan factory lenses. Anyhow, a few years ago I needed to update my Rx sunglasses. I no longer had access to the factory store and its in-house optician lab. I used a guy in central CA from these forums. He did a great job making custom glass progressive Rx lenses, but they were heavier than the originals. Now, my Rx has changed again. I was on the Oakley website when I saw some of the glasses are available in Rx through the Oakley website! Even progressive lenses!!! And I could have them charge my insurance!!! Wow Wow Wow!!

So, now I see on the website a Flak 2.0 XL, a Flak Beta, and a Flak jacket and Flak Jacket XLJ. Are those the original Flak Jackets?? Here're the links: Oakley Flak Jacket® Black Iridium Lenses, Jet Black Frame Sunglasses | Oakley®
Oakley Flak Jacket® XLJ Fire Iridium Lenses, Polished Black Frame Sunglasses | Oakley®

Thank you!

The two links you posted are the original flaks, yes

That's great! I had no idea they brought them back!! Sounds like I can order up new lenses for my existing frames then.

I have forgotten the name / handle of the user here who used to make custom lenses - maybe he still does. I could dig it out of my storage boxes if I had to.

*Update: It was Chris Hardaway. Great guy!!

*Update: Oakley dot com's website chat feature agent (Gabriel) is telling me that now LensCrafters can make all the custom lenses for Oakley sunglasses. What they can't tell me is if the lenses are made of glass (like the custom guy here used to do) or if they are made from the factory plastic Lexan that I used to be able to get from the secret factory store.

The lenses are made in rx Polycarbonate (aka plutonite). Lexan was for snow / goggles only to my knowledge. Thanks for the compliment!
