Polarized Lens Question??

Hi all

My question is, do polarized lenses always have the word Polarized etched onto the outside bottom left hand corner or, do some have it printed on the inside??

I ask because my recent Juliet purchase has it printed on the inside!

Im pretty sure I have got cheap after market lenses...

They are fire iridium, but do not have the same tint/colour as my fire iridium 2010 Eyeshade...

Any ideas folks?

:)

It is etched from the inside on some lenses.

A lot of lenses have a wide range of how the mirror can look. Ruby can look anywhere from purple to yellow, +Red as well, fire sometimes has more green in it, etc.

Thanks for your quick reply! :)

Hmmm - it's def not etched on mine..

The tint looking through just doesn't have that same feel as my eyeshades..

I'll have a closer look!

not all polarized lenses are etched, but they are never printed/screened.

For example, polarized vented racing jacket lenses are not etched "polarized".

Here's a dodgy macro pic....

Not a huge problem if lens is fake, as I was intending to replace anyway.. Just hope the frames are legit!

My Split Jackets (OO Black Polarized) and my OCP Offshoot (Ruby Iridium polarized) don't have the polarized etching on them.

Hmm - do they have it screen printed at all?

Seems this lenses of mine are dodgy.

They just don't have the magic feel you get whilst looking through them.

Pretty sure the frames are legit though?
