PVD vs Polished MM - can you tell the difference??

Was curious if anyone who owns both could post up some side by side comparison shots.

I am questioning if this recent acquisition is truly a PVD finish.

There is a color difference / hue between the two, with the one with Blue washers being brighter and more reflective.

Any tips folks have for being able to tell the difference??
Debating removing some links to see evidence of polishing…

The oem finish has a brighter silver look to it. More chrome looking. A brushed finish mm that's been polished has a less bright look to it. Also most you can tell if it was an oem polished or a brushed finish originally as most don't polish the inside of the band very well. Can still make out alot of the brush marks if it was polished up.

Curious what an aggressive hand polishing of a PVD coating would look like?

This one is a bit more muted, not as brilliant of a shine as my known PVD.
The bracelet screws were all loosened, and this appears to be polishing compound on that screw…
