Query About Carbon Ducati Juliets

I have just bought a pair of carbon Ducati Juliets (the non-serialised generation).

However, the 'carbon' effect on one side of the frame seems to have been rubbed off, showing the silver coloured metal underneath.

Is this a known problem with these glasses?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

yeah but usually from abuse- wearing from a cap or dropping/ rubbing. unfortunately i dont think theres an easy way to fix it..

Unless you want to get it powder coated or painted. Obviously the finish won't be the same.

I have just spoken to the seller and they have agreed that I can return them for a full refund.

It's such a shame as they are beautiful glasses!

well.. just buy another one and take care of it! or save yourself the trouble and get an xmetal colored or a polished one- no more fuss

I'm a little confused. Are there multiple series of Ducati Juliets?

initially the x-metal and carbon frame released about the same time in 1999. then another carbon frame with hydrophobic in 2009.

Ok, I stopped collecting a few years ago when I went back to school, so I'm not up on all the new stuff. I used to know it all by heart when I worked for them.
