Question about GMT watch

Hi guys,
I really like the GMT watch specially the polished/black or Ion Plated Black/white
Before I start to search I want to ask how is the surfacing of the watch resistant to scratches?and also the Face-does the glass get scratched? or is it like on MinuteMachine ?

My 10 year old ion black is beat the **** up...but the face is still mint. It's been through a lot of situations that would have killed a lesser watch.

the face is sapphire glass, the most wear and tear you'll get on these watches are on the band. If you buy them now, the used one will have the black parts of the band scratched removed off and it'll be silver/metallic under the polished black

Be very careful with water resistance. My D2 claimed to be 10Bar but got water logged in about 2 feet of water. I have a Polished/Black and it looks nice
