Question About Stripping Color Off Frames

Hi, I have some of the MPH Frogskins in the Grenade pinkish and green fade that I would like to change the color of. I have read about the boiling water option for removing paint from frames, but I was wondering if there is anything that I could do since these are still semi clear? Is there a paint stripper that wont hurt the frames, or is boiling water bath the best way to go?
