R1 nose bomb temporary fix?

I got a set coming but it wont be here until a looong time from now. Anyway, anybody tried a temporary like maybe a rubber grommet or something from Lowes.

I actually wear my r1's without nose bombs. They sit on my nose similar to how a pb1 sits and fit quite well actually. Maybe give that a go?
