Oh I looked up another, saw the Oakley O Purchased from a trusted member on here. Your guess is as good as mine.

You are ok. There were two versions released. The version from 2005 and earlier was a tad heavier, had silver hardware and had the velcro patch. The 2008 re-release was a bit lighter in weight, had greyer hardware and did not have the Velcro patch. There are a few other differences but those are the most easily identifiable.
