i need some ideas as to whats going on with my Romeo Plasma/Fires.

I took some close-up pics of the serial and noticed a faded number above.

the 001881 matches the box but i cant understand why there's another number.

the number on the box has a 'B' before it as well. looking on o-review there was only a second gen with an 'A' before the serial.

the box has a bar code which suggests it is a later model.

Honestly looks like someone etched it to match the box....
I have a second gen one with box and yes its got an a etched after the serial just like juliets do.

what about the format of the number? obviously 001881 is ultra-early and the box looks a lot later because of the bar code. the 'b' before the number on the box is also odd.

it's a lot of bother to go to the trouble of changing the frames to match the box - surely wouldv'e been easier to change the box label!!

Maybe he wants the frame to match the box? Easier to etch than to edit a label?

That's strange. I have one with a double printed number but its not 'rubbed out', just over printed.

maybe it was a frame that was replaced by HQ from another customer, then HQ did a MPH for that romeo...placing of the box matching number is about right...the earlier faded etch is too high IMO.
