The spider like craking was caused by pressure points where the orbitals of the frame were screwed together. During removal or wearing the glasses, it causes stress at those points flexing the lens and causing the cracking. This could very well happen over time with aftermarket lenses
It has more to do with the frame, not the lenses. Also from my experience VL's are usually a slightly tighter fit, which I think would make cracking more likely.
just try not to pull the earstems apart as much as possible.. slide them over your head to put on/off.. that saves them stressing in the long run.. also use smaller t-shox..
probably really expensive off ebay. if you have juliets/mars/X-metal XX, they use the same t-shock. smallest oakley makes is the size 15. However, some aftermarket companies make even smaller than that. PM me if you're interested, i'll hook you up with a mate of mine
