safe transportation

I know most will just sit on shelves but how do the few that don't transport there over the tops, in the past when not on my head i've just used the lens cover and stuffed soft clothing around. I assume a case was never made?

i had mine shipped overseas in a giant tupperware box. works well protecting it. Ofcourse add padding & micro bag on the inside to protect it from rattling and scruffing.
